استنكار وإدانة جريمة مقتل الأرشمندريت الأرمني اللبناني أنانيا كوجانيان |

إن هذه الجريمة النكراء التي استهدفت شخصية دينية بارزة في منطقة البقاع اللبناني، تُعدّ انتهاكاً صارخاً لحقوق الإنسان الأساسية، الحق في الحياة والأمن الشخصي، وهي اعتداء على قيم التسامح والحوار التي يجب أن تسود مجتمعنا.
إننا في المرصد الآشوري لحقوق الإنسان، إذ نشاطر الجميع حزنهم العميق، نطالب الأجهزة الأمنية والقضائية في لبنان بتحمل مسؤولياتها كاملة في إجراء تحقيق فوري ونزيه وشفاف في ملابسات هذه الجريمة النكراء، وسرعة الكشف عن جميع الحقائق المتعلقة بها، وسرعة القبض على المجرمين الذين ارتكبوا هذا الفعل الشنيع، وتقديمهم للعدالة لينالوا أشد العقوبات.
كما ندعو الدولة اللبنانية إلى اتخاذ جميع الإجراءات الأمنية اللازمة لضمان سلامة جميع المواطنين، ومنع تكرار مثل هذه الاعتداءات الآثمة التي تستهدف الحق في الحياة وحرية المعتقد. وندعو جميع المعنيين إلى التحلي بأعلى درجات المسؤولية والوعي، والعمل معاً من أجل الحفاظ على الأمن والسلام في لبنان، وحماية حقوق الإنسان للجميع.

The Assyrian Monitor for Human Rights strongly condemns the murder of Archimandrite Anania Koujeyan (Lebanese citizen, 40 years old), Vicar of the Armenian Orthodox Archbishop of Lebanon and responsible for the Diocese of Bekaa. He was found dead in his apartment in the town of Bsalim, Metn District - Mount Lebanon Governorate on Saturday, February 1, 2025, after contact was lost with him a day before his body was found.
This heinous crime, which targeted a prominent religious figure in the Lebanese Bekaa region, is a flagrant violation of fundamental human rights, the right to life, and personal safety. It is an assault on the values of tolerance and dialogue that should prevail in our society.
We at the Assyrian Monitor for Human Rights, while sharing everyone's deep sorrow, demand that the Lebanese security and judicial authorities fully assume their responsibilities in conducting an immediate, fair, and transparent investigation into the circumstances of this heinous crime. We demand the swift disclosure of all related facts, the rapid arrest of the criminals who committed this heinous act, and their presentation to justice to receive the harshest penalties.
We also call on the Lebanese state to take all necessary security measures to guarantee the safety of all citizens, including members of religious minorities, and to prevent the recurrence of such heinous attacks that target the right to life and freedom of belief. We call on all concerned parties to exercise the highest degree of responsibility and awareness, to work together to maintain security and peace in Lebanon, and to protect the human rights of all.
